Two Northwest College soccer players will be taking their talents to four-year institutions after signing letters of intent to play on — with Peyton Roswadovski and Edwin Martin Wiesner Talero both moving on to universities.

NWC MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO EIGHTH SEED

A match that could have boosted the Northwest men’s soccer team to the No. 7 seed in the Region IX playoffs left the Trappers with the No. 8 seed and searching for answers after losing to Central Wyoming 3-0 on Friday.

MEN'S SOCCER FALTERS IN SECOND HALF

Coming off a win the previous weekend in Riverton, the Northwest College men’s soccer team had its eye on an upset in Casper on Saturday, but a five-goal outburst by No. 19-ranked Casper College in the second half saw the Trappers lose 7-1.

It was another tale of two halves for the Northwest men’s soccer team in Riverton on Saturday, but the Trappers held on after an early goal in extra time to take home a 1-0 win over Central Wyoming.

A set of defensive mistakes continued a downward trend for the Northwest men’s soccer team on Friday and Saturday. The Trappers fell 2-0 to Laramie County Community College and 5-2 to Western Nebraska Community College.

Three matches in five days proved difficult for the Northwest College men’s soccer team, which defeated Lamar Community College 3-1, before losing to Northeastern Junior College 3-0 and Casper College 5-2.

Freshman midfielder John Joe Mullane scored the winning goal for the Trappers with five minutes left on Saturday in a dramatic 2-1 win over Western Nebraska.
