TRAPPER MEN END YEAR IN SHOOTOUT

Postseason soccer did not disappoint at Trapper Field on Saturday afternoon, as the Northwest College men’s soccer team battled Laramie County Community College to a 1-1 tie through overtime, before the Golden Eagles defeated the Trappers 5-3 in a shootout in the first round of the postseason.

ENDING ON A HIGH NOTE

Needing a win to break into the postseason the Northwest College men’s soccer team did that and more, earning a pair of wins over the top teams in Region IX on the final weekend.

MEN'S SOCCER FIGHTS BACK FROM EARLY DEFICITS

Two early deficits did not sink the Northwest College men’s soccer team once again, as the Trappers fought back to earn a 2-2 draw against Central Wyoming on Saturday and defeated Lamar Community College 3-2 on Monday.

MEN'S SOCCER SPLITS HIGH SCORING MATCHES

The Northwest College men’s soccer team split a pair of high-scoring road contests last week. Northwest lost to Casper College on a last minute penalty 4-3 on Friday, before rebounding against Gillette College and winning via a last minute Shota Akima goal 7-6 on Saturday.

NWC MEN UNBEATEN IN HOME CONTESTS

Another weekend of tests was presented to the Northwest College men’s soccer team on Friday and Saturday at Trapper Field, as the Trappers defeated Trinidad State College 3-0 before battling in a scoreless draw against Otero College 0-0.

TRAPPER MEN WIN EXHIBITION AGAINST CENTRAL

Taking a quick break from conference action the Northwest College men’s soccer team went on the road for an exhibition match against a Region IX foe on Friday, defeating Central Wyoming 3-0.

TRAPPERS CONTINUE EARLY SEASON DRAWS

Getting out in front of the home fans on Friday and Saturday the Northwest College rodeo team experienced highs and lows at the Trapper Stampede.

TRAPPER MEN BATTLE IN FIRST GAMES

August 29, 2024

Early goals put the Northwest College men’s soccer team on the back foot throughout the first two games of the regular season. However, the Trappers showed their resiliency, battling back for a 3-1 win over Mohave Community College on Thursday and a 3-3 draw against Western Nebraska Community College on Friday.

TRAPPERS LEARN ON MONTANA TRIP

August 22, 2024

Three games over four days proved to be a learning experience for the Northwest College men’s soccer team, rotating nearly 30 players in scrimmages against Rocky Mountain College, Carroll College and the University of Providence in a Montana road trip.

The Northwest College volleyball team finished at the top in academics for the Trappers last year, as five teams and 43 athletes received recognition for their academic excellence.

TRAPPER TEAMS LEAD IN 2023-24 ACADEMICS

Five Northwest College teams and 43 individuals were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Teams for the 2023-24 season, capping off a successful academic year for the Trappers.

TRAPPERS BOAST LARGE FRESHMAN CLASS

After a strong 2023 campaign, the Northwest College men’s soccer team will be looking to take the next step, returning eight players from a team that placed second in Region IX and fell short in the playoff semifinal last season.

Northwest College hosted its end of year Trapper Awards ceremony in April, with athletes garnering awards throughout the evening to wrap up the 2023-24 school year.
